Aims & Ethos

Lockers Park is proud to be a school exclusively for boys. We have been educating boys since 1874 and are proud of our distinguished history. We blend modern, state-of-the-art facilities and teaching methods with traditional values and well-loved customs.

We value our small, family atmosphere, which means that the boys are well known to all staff, from form teacher to matron. Class sizes are small, an average of 14 with a staff:pupil ratio of 1:8, enabling each boy’s individual potential to be reached.

In all aspects of the school – whether in lessons, on the playing fields or in free time – boys’ particular needs are catered for. Our emphasis on outdoor play, exercise every day and a wide range of boys’ activities leads, we believe, to an increased concentration during lessons. Our boys are happy, energetic and well-motivated.
